Megan had only recently realized how bedraggled she looked on a daily basis now. She rarely bothered to finish her hair, her makeup was a joke, and she knew she looked tired on a daily basis. It had little to do with the pitiful child in her arms, but rather the girl's father.
Keeping Proserpina bundled safely against her, she made her way through the foyer, hoping not to be noticed.
