*The witch nodded, amused.*
"You'd be surprised. Not everyone you perceive as evil necessarily is."

Dorothy raised an eyebrow. "The Wicked Witch of the West tried to kill me." she said defensively. "She locked me up in her castle with an hourglass. When the hourglass ran out I would...die." Dorothy finished is a quiet voice. She didn't like having to think about the castle. It wasn't the best time in her life.

**WITCH**
"I'm sure she had a perfectly good reason," *she said, slightly miffed. She'd locked Rapunzel in a tower, but that was because she loved her. She wanted to protect her.

"But-I didn't want her ruby slippers and I didn't squish her sister! The house squished The Wicked Witch of the East when I landed in Oz because of another twister." Dorothy said angrily. Unfortunately, she knew her argument was becoming weaker.

*The witch smirked, examining her flawless nails.*
"I'd be angry too. How would you feel if I squished your dog?"

Dorothy gasped, horrified. "You wouldn't!" She tightened her grip on Toto. It was obvious the poor dog was uncomfortable, but he stayed purely out of loyalty. "Besides...I wasn't the one who did it! The twister made the house do it! I wouldn't have landed on the Witch of the East if I had the choice."

*She laughed cruelly.*
"Don't worry about him. He's safe, unless you annoy me. Anyway, stepping on a dog... that's crude, not to mention messy."
*She glared at the girl.*
"And the prince didn't mean to steal my daughter from me. But He still deserved his fate."

Though slightly relieved that her dog was safe for the moment, Dorothy was still upset about the Witch's stubbornness. "What happened to the prince?" she asked nervously, forgetting her side of the argument for the moment.

*I pushed him from the tower where he'd been visiting and doing unspeakable things to my Rapunzel, where he fell on a thorn bush that blinded him. And I banished her to a desert for encouraging him," *she said matter-of-factly."

"Oh my!" exclaimed Dorothy, not merely because of the dreadful fate of the Prince, but the mention of Rapunzel. She remembered that fairytale from when she was four or five, but she didn't remember the prince getting blinded or Rapunzel ending up in a desert. Regardless of that though, the only other real character in the story besides Rapunzel and the prince was..."You're a witch, aren't you?" asked Dorothy casting the Witch a suspicious glance.

*The witch gave her a dazzling, (and somehow threatening) smile.*
"Pleased to make your acquaintance."

"You don't like a very good witch..." said Dorothy softly, her eyes downcast. Toto was growing impatient being held by the girl, but was hanging in there.

((Night! It's been fun! ;D ))
"It's all a matter of perspective. And no. I'm not "good," or particularly nice. I'm just right."

This confused Dorothy who still thought of people as purely good or purely evil. "Aren't they the same?"
