A young man alighted from a black carriage in front of the Opera Populaire.
"You," he pointed to the footman, "bring my things and place them at the entrance. After, you may go, as it appears I have no other need for you."
Declan then strode with an air to the doors. The footman carried out his orders, bowed slightly, and quickly walked back to the carriage.
Declan sneered. "Are you in that much of a hurry to leave me?" The footman gave no answer as the coach departed. He scoffed and turned back to the opera house. "Hello? Anyone here?"

*Virginia walked through the foyer carrying a stack of prayer books she was going to put in the chapel to encourage the Opera people to save their souls.*

Declan noticed a young woman passing by.
"You there!" he exclaimed.

*Virginia looked up, startled.* "Hello monsieur," *she said softly, shuffling the weight of the books to her other arm as she stalled to return the man's 'greeting'.*

"Right, whatever. Would you know of any accommodations here?" he asked bluntly.

*Virginia eyed the young man coolly.* "Perhaps. Have you come to work at the opera?" *she asked.*

"Work? Work?" Declan repeated. He scoffed and rolled his eyes.
"Obviously, miss, you are not accustomed to being around people like me, eh? Can you not see that I am an aristocrat?"
((lol! I don't think he'll be as sarcastic as House. Just really... rude. Like House. ;D))

*Virginia eyed the man with some distaste.* "I was well-born as well, Monsieur. The course of life runs smoother for some than it does for others," *she said coldly.* "And I am accustomed to people in all levels of misfortune. God's love does not discriminate between the rich man and the poor man. Only the rich man may have more trouble in entering heaven." *she settled the books in her arms and turned to walk away.* "You've heard of the camel through the needle's eye, I suppose?"

Declan glared at her. How could a woman be so bold and disrespectful? And to him of all people? ((Kinda reminds me of Jane Eyre. ;D))
"Of course I have," he lied.

((Virginia is very Jane-ish.))
*Virginia looked wryly at the strange man, and her inherant good nature won out, and she smiled softly to herself before she turned away.* "Good luck with your camel, then, Monsieur."

Diana walked into the foyer in search of Mac when she spotted Virginia and an unfamiliar man apparently...bickering?
Not wanting to be rude and interrupt, she stayed by the grand staircase and waited to Mac, often glancing at her watch impatiently.
