"Undead are never friendly in stories. If it's not a vampire, and you get something else, they're still murderously unfriendly."
Daniel had seen a zombie exactly once, and the pathetic creature had been more amusing the frightening. They really were the bottom-tier as far as things like him went.

"I've never held with those kinds of stories," Adam said as he finally stirred himself to clamber into the bath still half-clad, all long white legs and bony knees. He had clearly been the kind of child who would rush in to interpose him between the child storyteller and his eager boyish audience to chide them on succumbing to their desire to hear wicked things. "But Roman Catholics have their own sentiments on blood, don't we? I'm sure I could make sense of it, if you gave me time..."
He trailed off, sinking a little deeper into the water.

Daniel's forehead creased as he dredged up memories on just what a Roman Catholic would think on such things.
"Do you mean, like...in communion?"

He turned his head, sinking a little deeper to his chin even as this necessitated exceedingly white knees surfacing.
"Yes! Yes, exactly..."

Perching on the edge of the tub, Daniel glanced at Adam curiously.
"Hmm. I would be interested in hearing what your thoughts are, then."
Blood was a subject that he certainly didn't mind talking about with, well, anyone. Though admittedly, he didn't often talk to humans about it unless it was to tell them what to expect when being turned.

"Well, the blood itself is important, it's more than a sign..." He cupped a handful of water in his wrecked palm. "Or it's a very powerful sign. God forbade the Israelites to eat it, you know. There's life in it, more than any other thing."

"Blood is the life," he responded, quoting another vampire.
"Well. It's literally that, for you, and that for me in many many ways. To be honest, I never thought too hard on it. It is the only thing that sustains me, therefore I must have it."

"It's distasteful to me, but it's not strange -- and I'm not sure if it's even distasteful any more. It's just -- your need."

"Without it, I would shrivel up like a mummy, and wind up in some kind of waking death. Not exactly the greatest of ends. Worse than death, I'd say."

"With death a man might have rest, at least. I doubt... starvation is a restful condition."

"No, indeed. I'd say that on that, we agree. "((Oh my god I'm so sorry I let this slide. D:))
