"I'm sorry I didn't tell you, I had meant to really" pulling away she moved across the kitchen "I've just been so caught up in things it slipped my mind, honestly."

A strange silence immediately followed their conversation, and it seemed as if he were struggling to maintain his composure. At length, he sighed a bit exasperatedly and ran a finger across the top of the kitchen counter, leaving a trail of frost, which soon evaporated, in its wake.
"It's fine. I only wish you'd remember to inform me of these things in the future."
He gave her a tight smile and a playful pat on her bottom.
((My memory is failing me like no other. Remind me, does he still have her soul in his possession?))

((Awesomesauce.))
"I can always make you remember," he purred, making a strange motion with his hands, as if he were tugging at the strings of something...something like...
Your soul.

Aideen felt her chest pull forward and swallowed hard.
She'd almost forgotten about that.
"That's not necessary dear."

"Believe you me...I can always make it necessary."
He released his pull on her and slunk out of the kitchen.

Staring down at the floor she took a deep breath and closed her eyes. Domestication gave her a sense of safety, a feeling that she couldn't be touched.
But some things never changed, and she had to remember that. But she wasn't about to go around being foolish, nor was she going to feel threatened. Something had to give.
