*She opened her mouth to say something but quickly closed it.*
"I'll leave you two to catch up," *she said cautiously to Alfred and got up to leave.*

"Lois Lane" Jess blurted off "that is your name, correct?"

*She stopped right before passing her.*
"Yes," *she replied, stiffly.*

"I- I'm a big fan of your work" she looked down at the floor, trying not to catch her eye, nor look up toward Alfreds.

"Uh--Thank you," *she said, blinking. Her response was hasty yet sincere. She was normally cooler than this when caught off guard...*

Jess nodded finally looking up at her, her eyes glassy from holding back tears. Nodding she tried to put on a smile, and turned to Alfred.
"Alfred, I am so sorry, I- there's so much I need to tell you, you and, and Bruce."

As it just so happened, Bruce was standing there, beyond Jess--behind her, hence why she didn't see him.
"So I've heard." He said, so quietly it almost wasn't audible.

Freezing in place, the chills from Bruce's voice crept up her spine, attaching to all her senses at once.
Blinking hard, she slowly turned around to face him "Bruce."
Lord help me now.

*Lois watched them, almost afraid to breathe. The situation was delicate, brittle even, and she could feel it in the room. She stood there, her eyes now on Bruce. Her expression was unreadable.*

Alfred stared at the situation, it was like watching one of those Twilight Zone shows he used to watch back in the early sixties.
He straightened his back and brushed his hair back "I'll go put on the kettle" and hurriedly made his way out of the room.

There was a flood of emotions going through him, almost too much to really concentrate on one. Because of that, all he could feel was numb with a slight sense of dread.
"Hello, Jess."

"Bruce I-" at this moment, she suddenly forgot that Lois was in the room, that Tony existed or that anything terrible had ever happened.
She wanted to hold Bruce, to tell him that it was all going to be okay, that she was home now.
But as quickly as the idea came to her, so did the memories, and the tears that she'd been holding back.
"I don't know how to start this, I- don't know where to start or where to end or-or anything."

*She let out a quiet sigh.*
"It all makes sense now," *she said almost to herself.*

Bruce was feeling something similar to Jess, but it was immediately flooded out when Lois spoke. But then, the two feelings were at war with each other--how he felt about Jess, even now, and how he felt about Lois--and how both were just as strong as the other. So of course, he was jealous, but he also would have been had Lois showed up with...with...Superman or somebody.
"I saw you fall. How...how did you..."

"I never hit the ground" she swallowed finally gathering up the courage to look in to his eyes, this of course only made her stutter.
"Do you remember, how I told you, that I had, certain... powers" she exhaled, she knew it was going to be hard, but only now did she realize how hard. "I was her, the Queen, she was my... other side, my other, personality... when I fell, all that was left of those powers, saved me from dying."
