Zaphod wondered into the Notre Dame cathedral and his first thoughts was where was he and why was he here?because his rper brought him here. He walked up to a man that was praying. By the way the extrodanary probabitly of the idea to bring Zaphod into a church is 1 million to 1 against. "Hey, excuse me. Um where am I exactly?"
"Your in a church sir."the man answered.
"Oh."He looked around."Its nice, big, fancy, I like it. Fancy pants!" It was much better then the church back on Vitvolde 6.

Helen was wandering around in the Cathedral. She looked up at the tall pillars, admiring the paintings and the decoration of the altars. The wax candles gave a beautiful light to the inventary of this building that reminded her so much of the temples at home in Greece. She was still wondering how she had arrived here, but she knew that she was not in Greece anymore. The language was different, the people dressed different than her. What she didn't know yet, was that this was also a different time than hers. She heard male voices. She hid in the shadows, but made sure she could see what went on in the church. She noticed a tall, blond man with long hair and clothes no man in Greece would ever wear. He was talking to another man, that obviously was praying. Helen looked around, but she couldn't see the statue of the god the man was praying to. She furrowed her eyebrows. What was it the man had said? "You're in a church." She looked around, but still she thought it reminded of a temple. ((This is what Helen is wearing:))

As Zaphod was walking around admiring the paintings he spotted a woman with long blonde hair. Hes eyes lit up. Good Zarquan shes hot. Telling from her out fit she didn't look like she was from around here. He slid across the floor towards her with his shoes he almost tripped doing so, so he just walked or more like strut his way towards her. He brushed his hair back to try and act all cool and stuff.

Helen was studying the paintings when she suddenly heard a sound of a man almost tripping. She turned around and noticed the man she had noticed earlier coming towards her. The one with the clothes no Greek man would ever wear.
She would probably have thought he was hot, if it weren't for the funny way he was strutting, or the way he brushed back his hair trying to look cool.
No Greek man had ever acted like that either. But then again, they had all been fighting because of their dignity. Wars had been started because of their dignity. She lowered her head, remembering the cause of one of those wars.
She hoped no war would be started because of her this time. She couldn't bare the thought of the lives lost because of her. So when Zaphod walked towards her, she looked down, sadly, hoping he wouldn't notice her.
Haven't I caused enough problems already? Why can't they leave me alone?

He finally reached her and noticed that she was putting her head down why did she look so sad. He put an arm around her shoulder. "Hey,why the long face kitten? Mind if I call you that by the way? "he chuckled."Sure you don't." Perhaps he could cheer her up. He just hoped that his second head wouldn't randomly pop up during conversation. Now that would be embrassing.

Of course he had to notice her. Helen froze when he put his arm around her shoulder. Not that she was a virgin or a prude or anything, she had been married to Menelaus after all, before Paris abducted her. But even Menelaus had introduced himself before he allowed his hands to wander all over her. She took a step back and looked up at the man that had placed his arms around her shoulders. He didn't look too bad, she had to admit. He had long blond hair, and she liked his beard. Something about him told her that he was used to have girls fall for him. But who was she to judge? A war had started because someone fell for her. He spoke to her. His language was different from any language she had ever heard before. She suddenly realized that if she was to stay in this country, she had to study hard, to learn the language. Luckily, she had always been intelligent, and could pick up words easily. Like she had done when she was abducted from Sparta to Troy. "Who are you?" She asked in her old Greek language. ((She lived before the English language was invented. Could be a fun plot, her not knowing the language. How about they have to find a way to work around the differences? ))

((Great ;D I PM'd you with some more info on Helen.))
He removed his arm from her shoulder and put both his on his belt."Names Zaphod Beeblebrox, presidant of the Galaxy."He rubbed a hand through his hair as he said his next sentence."I'm from a,different planet."He chuckled."What's your name kitten?"
Helen looked at him. He didn't look too bad. Only a shame that he had to touch his hair all the time. Maybe he had fleas? She knew some herbs that could cure him.... But how could she tell him without sounding rude?
She noticed his belt. Greek men had worn belts as well, but only if they were going to war. They used to hang their swords in them. Maybe this man was a soldier? But she couldn't see a sword.
He spoke to her again, in this strange language. She understood some of it, but not everything. And it was far from understanding a language to speaking it. Helen knew she had a lot of work cut out for her, learning this new and strange language properly. She replied in her ancient Greek language.
"My name is Helen. I'm a princess of Troy. And I once was the Queen of Sparta."
She lowered her eyes sadly. Menelaus had been a brave man. But he had never managed to win her heart. Not like prince Paris. Helen had not yet heard the name of the town she was in. She would have been amazed by the fact that it was carrying the name of her former lover.
The man in front of her had used many strange words. She didn't know what a Presidant was. She assumed that Galaxy was the name of his kingdom. But what was a planet? She smiled charmingly, to hide her confusion. She replied, again in Greek.
"I am sorry, I do not know what a Presidant is. I have never heard about the kingdom of Galaxy. Is it far away from Troy?"

My name is Helen. I'm a princess of Troy. And I once was the Queen of Sparta."
A princess, wow."Pleasure to meet you kitten." He grinned and winked at her. There wasn't many princess on the planet where he came from and he hadnt met any princessess before so this was a surprise and the Hitchikers Guide did not have any entries about princessess on earth. Perhaps Ford hadn't come across any either.
I am sorry, I do not know what a Presidant is. I have never heard about the kingdom of Galaxy. Is it far away from Troy?"
"Well,"He began."A presidant is someone who is high in fame and fortune. At least I think, I dont know."He chukled."But anyway there supposed to be dealing with like the name of people and uh democracy and stuff like that. Nothing really important kitten so need to worry and yes the Galaxy is far away from earth if thats what your trying to say."And what was the last one? He had never heard of the place called Troy, it wasn't mentioned in the The Hitchhikers Guide either.

"Well, i-it's... nice... to meet you too." Helen blushed when the stranger winked at her. Did he know what that meant in ancient Greece? Her father would have beheaded him for treating her like a prostitute. Winking was a sign to a prostitute that a man was interested in buying her. ((Actually I'm making that up. We don't know much about body language in ancient Greece. )) She listened to the information he brought her. Galaxy, earth? She didn't understand. A scholar from Athens might have told her that Earth was a planet. But as the former queen of Sparta, she was an enemy of Athen. Besides, Athens had helped Menelaus in the war, to bring her back from Troy. "Dealing with the people and democracy? Those are elementary in my home country. We even make wars because of them. So you are a king?" She tried to think of a way to explain to him where Troy was. Someone had mentioned the names Greece and Turkey for her. Perhaps he would understand those names better. "Sparta, where I used to be a queen is in Greece. And Troy, where I am a princess, is in the neighbor state, Turkey."

((Lol made me giggle))
"Dealing with the people and democracy? Those are elementary in my home country. We even make wars because of them. So you are a king?"
He grinned when she asked if he was a king."Guess you can say that."
"Sparta, where I used to be a queen is in Greece. And Troy, where I am a princess, is in the neighbor state, Turkey."
He looked at her and confused and listened to what she was trying to explain to him. Still didn't quite click. "Im sorry. What?"He wasn't from around here so he wouldnt know anything that had to do with earth. Yes he was that stupid.

((Thanks. I hoped you would find it amusing )) Helen furrowed her eyebrows, clearly worried about his mental health. What kind of king would not know about other states? It was this knowledge that made him a big king, and helped him prevent other states from attacking him. "Eh... have your country been invaded or faced any wars?" She knew it wasn't polite to ask, but she had to ask to find out what kind of king he was.

Helen looked over at him. She found him charming, with that long blond hair. She was weak for blond men. But she wondered how he had become a king. Menelaus hadn't been the sharpest tool in the box either, and she had been married to him. She shuddered.
"Well, then. Are you a great warrior? Can you protect your kingdom from harm?"

"Well, then. Are you a great warrior? Can you protect your kingdom from harm?"
"Good zarquon woman, is this 20 questions or something?"He asked. He then finnally caught on." Oh yeah,"He chuckled." I can do that and yes I am a great warrior. No Im not just great I'm fantastic and I beileve that protecting the people is, the most important thing about being a presidant."He winked at her again.
