Sally nodded with a sharp intake of breath, as though willing herself to be very strong, and also to sound very firm. Although Sally was something of a flake under most circumstances, and had not proven herself to be exactly the voice of reason now, she was not entirely irrational, and if Phoenix was not thinking for herself as much, and therefore causing Sally to doubt her own suggestions, it made things a lot easier for her.
"No, of course not," said Sally quickly, shaking her head. She wanted to say right afterwards - the words were still crowding her mind - 'You think I've not had people over before, hon?', with a smile, to make it all seem peachy. But it was not at all peachy. Sally stood somewhat shakily to get her coat and started pulling it on as she headed towards Phoenix, turning off one of the two lights in her room while she was over there, and returning to Phoenix to put an arm at her shoulder as though going to guide her. "It's not a long walk," she amended kindly, biting the inside of her lip to try to keep herself focused on what was necessary at that moment.

When she rose, Phoenix's muscles cried out in protest, a reminder of what had happened and of the recentness of it all. Soreness was setting in, now that adrenaline had ebbed away, and the gin did little to mask it.
Though it did aid her desire not to think too hard. Still, she didn't want to seem ungrateful, or weak. As weak than she already felt, anyway.
"Thank you," she said softly, a tiny smile almost ludicrous as the bruises darkened on her face. "I think I can make it."

Phoenix was taller, and thinner, than Sally was, and seemed almost like a straw as Sally led her. She paused only to shut off a light after she'd opened the door, and they exited the cabaret staying very close together, as Sally's arm stayed around her shoulders and she herself was squeezing in rather near to Phoenix, seeing things in the shadows of the cabaret that she knew would still be there when she came back again, and only anxious to get them both out.
((Hm. I think I need to figure out where Sally lives. Then I will post there and tag you. Ha, we had a busy day.))

Phoenix shambled along, maintaining as brave a face as she could but only able to propel herself forward, anxious always that he would emerge from the shadows and declare that she might not leave the Klub at all.
((I've learned my lesson about pressuring you.
Namely, do it.))
