*Phoenix smiled gently.*
"That would be great," *she said.* "I'm a terrible cook."
*Nude, she snuggled up next to him, fitting herself to his back.
Free love was one thing. Snuggles were still on the menu.*

**THE NEXT MORNING**
The Emcee hummed a soft tune as he flung a towel across his shoulder, he was wearing a wife beater and a pair of tight black jeans. He turned the Leberwurst and pulled the Brötchen out of the small oven and began to spread jam on them.

(( he was wearing a wife beater and a pair of tight black jeans. *guh*)) *Phoenix turned over restlessly in the big bed. When she met with no resistance, she opened her eyes. Oh. The Emcee was gone, but there was a lovely smell in the air. Phoenix rose and stretched before finding an old shirt of the Emcee's and running a hand through her tousled curls. Then she padded out to find him.* "Hey," *she said.*

"Hello yourself," *she said, raking her eyes over him. If anything, he looked even better than last night. How did men do that?*
"Thanks."
*She took the mug and wondered when the awkwardness would descend.*

The Emcee continued to cook the sausages, humming happily "I 'ope you arre hungary, I made much food." He smiled and put some rolls on a plate, and after a moment took the sausages out of the pan and put them on the plate with the rolls. It didn't seem like much, but Leberwurst were filling.
He sat them down at the tiny kitchen table and poured himself a cup of coffee.
((There are a million ways to cook Leberwurst, but the only way I can eat it is to cook it in a pan and burn it so that the juices, well goo on the surface... it's weird, but delicious))

((For me, it's as much taste as ethics. The only things I miss are fried chicken and bacon.))
*Phoenix's mother had taught her how to stuff her bra and also to run off without a trace, so she wasn't about to complain about culinary limits.
She dug in, making appreciate "yummy" sounds.*
"This is great. Don't know when I've had a more... satisfying... one night stand."

((I wouldn't be able to live without them. You know they have soy bacon, it's not that gross.))
"Me neither" he smiled genuinely and took a sip of his coffee.

"Well..." *She paused, not sure if this was totally outside the realm of etiquette.* "You know where to find me."

((It's good, I was a vegetarian for a very VERY short time, and bought all that soy shit. It's just too expensive.))
He smiled "And youf know vere I am" Boot for how long he took a bite of his sausage ((cause that can't be misconstrued as anything other than eating breakfast)) and looked out the window. "I vas thinkings, do youf know if-" he sighed "-if the cloob ees lookinks for another emcee?"

*Phoenix watched his profile for a moment.*
"I know people still talk about you," *she said.* "Mostly in a good way. And we don't have one."
