((I know. I don't try to argue either. I understand his behavior. In fact, I was giggling all the way when I wrote these posts. It is fun to make plot enemies, as long as the hostility is only in the plots, don't you think?))

((Just for the record, it is a REALLY BAD IDEA for her to stay sitting at Destler's table. In fact, it is highly unlikely that the staff would allow her to do so. A waiter is not gonna come over, wipe off the table and set her up with flowers.))

((If it is such a personal matter for you I WILL have her removed.))
Faced with such a massive hostility as the previous commentors, Isabelle stood up and left, never to return.
((There - she is removed. Happy now?))

***NEW DAY***
*William glanced at the face of his pocket-watch before snapping it shut. He was a bit early, but that was all right. It appeared that this cafe was still frequented by the artists on occasion, and so he was content to sit and people watch, enjoying some wine. He pulled his leather-bound notebook from his case, setting it out on the table and unscrewed his fountain pen, making a few notes on thoughts and potential people of interest. He was intrigued by what he had heard of this man, this...dismissed tenor. And he was never one to pass up a good story.*

*Christian made sure he'd left Montmartre early, the better to beat the traffic that tourists tended to generate. He was, relatively speaking, feeling much better now that he'd had time to recover from the emotional fall-out of leaving Erik.
He entered the cafe with a sense of curiosity. He'd never actually encountered someone like Mr. Aubrey before, and was genuinely interested in meeting him. Spotting him, Christian headed in his direction*
"Mr. Aubrey?"

*William stood gracefully to greet the man, extending his hand.*
"That I am. And you are Mr. Daae?" *He questioned with a smile. He assumed the answer and gestured that they both might sit.*

*Christian shook the offered hand, giving Aubrey a smile*
"That would be me," he said amiably as he sat down.

*William nodded and sat.*
"Thank you for agreeing to meet me. I'll admit, one has no choice but to be intrigued when the subject of your recent...situation came up. Are you willing to talk about it?" *He arched his brow.*
"Many people in Paris would be curious to find out what drove one of the most promising voices out of its grandest hall."

"I'm willing to discuss...someone needs to know about all the inter-opera politics."
*He sighed*
"And the drama, of course."

"Well isn't that what keeps the audiences coming back for more?" *William leaned in with a knowing smile.*
"They want to know the secrets behind the fantasy. What happens when the curtains close."
*He studied the man calculatingly.*
"And find out why you aren't a part of it anymore."

"Oh, I agree with you. Scandal and mystery will always draw the crowds...I almost think that's why they come. For that, rather than the operas themselves."
*He paused, wondering just where to begin*
"I'm not longer there because the true manager of the opera has cast me out."

((Eee! Intrigue!))
*William arched a brow, leaning forward over the table and watching the man closely.*
"The...true manager?" *His pen was poised and ready.*

((That's a dirty lie! He asked you to stay.)) ((ORLY? "But do not think there is a place for you in this Opera, dear boy. Erik could have made you great! But you would have your aristocracy and your little friends--GO!" HA)) *He nodded* "I'm sure you've heard the stories about the Opera Ghost...?"
