"You were, there is no pain in dreaming, and no point not to" John squeezed his hand, just enough to remind him how things were now.

He gave John a lopsided grin.
"Well...I still don't hope for much. I'm too used to the other way, but I'm better about it."

John shrugged "As long as you try thats all that matters, I guess I'm blindly optimistic, it's part of my work."

"And here you had to go and hang out with the pessimist." He said, chuckling.

"We cancel each other out" he replied "it makes us neutral."

"At least it's not a complete cancel-out. Then we'd, I don't know, tear a hole in reality or something."

He laughed "Like that could happen."

"Are you kidding? In this place, anything's possible. I've seen plenty to support that."

John had to agree, he'd seen some very strange things in Paris in the last 20 years, and every day it got stranger.

They were close to the park now, which was located in not only a quieter part of Paris but also a cleaner one.

**NEW DAY**
His arrival was pretty swift--although he'd said he wasn't late, he still had hurried--but when he arrived László had slowed to almost a crawl, hit once again with a bout of nervousness. It was all for naught, of course, as once he was shown the ropes and settled in, the nervousness and fears of the past few days were gone. The afternoon found him tending the front desk, looking forward to whoever might next come through the doors.
((Oh hey look, an opening for anyone not John to come talk to László.))

Eddie wandered into the library, not entirely sure of what he was hoping to find. Well, he knew what he was looking for, yes... he usually did... he just wasn't sure how the library would be on subjects such as 'chickens and helicopters', 'cows and raptors' or even the ever-present choice between cake or death. If only there could be some sort of handheld device with something, say an application, for connecting those things. Unfortunately, there was none. Perhaps he would try to invent one someday. Still, ever hopeful, he walked towards the front desk. Today he was in boy mode, but still with a bit of shiny thrown in... plus a bit of eyeliner, because he could!

Thanks to the slowness of people arriving, László was tempted to grab a book to read in-between library-goers, but he wasn't sure that was allowed and in any case, having such unlimited access to a place like this was a bit overwhelming--how do you pick just one?
With the new arrival, though, he could at least put off the decision for a short while.
"Can I help you?"
