"Like... with... milk." *He said, unable to hide the disgust much longer.* "Tea is meant to be enjoyed alone."

"In Britain," said Mina, with added emphasis on her homeland, as if to prove that it existed in spite of Zuko's stubborn disavowals, "there is more than one way in which to take one's tea."

"In the Fire Nation," *He said, in a similar tone,* "my uncle runs a tea shop. Tea shouldn't be drunk with milk. Ever."

"You haven't even poured yourself any," Mina pointed out.

*He promptly poured himself a cup, sipping it without the handle or saucer.* "And why the handles? They're irrelevant."

"They are to allow one a better grip without burning one's hands," she answered. "For someone who speaks English as well as you do-"

"Is that the language I'm speaking? It just sort of happened... this isn't my usual alphabet, I just... understand what it means..."

Mina couldn't possibly make sense of this, and she didn't even try to. She raised an eyebrow, but that was the extent of her reaction.

***NEW NIGHT***
*Sylvia walked into the cafe, making her way through the maze of tables with a quiet grace, back towards a private booth. There was a dark haired man sitting at it already. Sylvia glanced back to Vincent, nodding slightly to signal that it was all right. Then she slipped into the small booth, smiling sweetly at the man across from her.*

Vincent nodded back and his face grew dark as Sylvia sat down, he however stayed standing, just in case.

*The two talked for some time over a light meal, Sylvia's invitingly laugh drifting occasionally over. Though for the most part it was very quiet, almost intimate. At length he stood and she followed suit. He kissed her hand lightly, her smile soft as she let him, and they parted ways. She walked by Vincent on her way to the door, trusting him to follow. Sylvia lingered on the pavement outside, waiting a carriage.*

Vincent followed her, his smile returning as they exited the cafe "That was, pleasant."

*Sylvia slowed, letting him catch up to walk beside her.*
"Some business is more pleasurable than others. But I can never be sure what gentleman harbors a scoundrel beneath his frockcoat."
*She glanced up at him, brow arched.*
"I do hope you don't find it too boring."

*Sylvia let her smile warm.*
"Many men in your position might find such a roll beneath them."
*Her stride was fluid as they walked, the sway in her hips kept her head perfectly level.*
"You seem to be ever the surprise."
