Ed laid his head against the table staring at the script given to him by a one Mr. Les Grossman.
Grossman said he couldn't make any changes, that's not what he paid him for, then proceeded to berate him with words Ed would rather not repeat.
He wasn't naive, but he wasn't foul like Mr. Grossman.
The script was dark, but uplifting, inspiring but sad. This Adrian Veidt sure was the bee's knees. That and the script was better than anything he could wish to write in his entire life.
So over a whiskey on the rocks he devoured the script whole.

((Oh hell why not.)) Lucy sashayed into the room, today having opted for a more modern ensemble--well, modern to her eyes. It was really a fancy dress from the 50s, but it was pink and really suited her tastes. She winked at the people who met her eye as she sat down and ordered a vodka martini.

Ed hadn't noticed at first the woman in the pink dress, he'd gotten to a flash back scene that was very moving. He reached out for his drink and pulled it to his lips only to spit it out "This isn't whis-" he looked up at the woman totally ashamed "I just drank your drink" he said in a high pitched voice.

Lucy grinned.
"Ah, that's all right, love! No harm done!"
My, but he was a cute one.

He breathed out, his voice returning back to normal "I am so sorry, here let me get you another one" he whistled and the bartender came over "I accidentally drank this young ladies martini you mind pouring her another one?" The bartender nodded and got to work.

"Ohhh, yer so sweet." She cooed.
"What's yer name?"
It'd been a while since she'd gotten her flirt on, and Lucy was feeling rambunctious.

He stuck out his hand "Edward D. Wood Jr.!"

She grasped his hand firmly and gave it a shake.
"Lucy Harris! Pleased to meet you!"

Her aggressive shake wasn't something Ed was expecting, which caused him to hold on to his stool. Being a bit drunk all ready wasn't helping either.
"Well it's a pleasure to meet you Miss. Harris" he grinned as the bartender brought her drink back over.

"Thanks!"
She raised her glass after it arrived.
"And thank you."
And took a drink.
"So! Yer not from around here. Where'd you breeze in from?"

"America" he said proudly "Hollywood California to be exact, and you?"

America! She'd all sorts of amazing things about there, but having never been, she'd only had her imagination to go on.
"Ooo! I'm from London, England."

"I've never been there, I heard it's cloudy" he said with a laugh.

Lucy chuckled.
"Oh yeah, and likes to rain, too.
I heard California's full of gold. Is it?"

"That's what they say" he laughed "but that was years ago, now it's full of fake people and parasites! Those are the people I work for, I'm in show business."
