Yann opened his eyes while it was still dark. A split second he didn't know what woke him, then the excitement washed over him. Books! With his new friend!
The new friend he let down last night by getting so tired all of a sudden. He rubbed his eyes in shame, but he soon remembered the plan he made last night to make up for it.
He got out of bed and changed his clothes into something more appropriate. Something more masculine this time, even if he didn't feel too comfortable in them. Today she wouldn't have to endure the awkwardness of being perceived as one of two females. He even took some time to glue the fashionable false goatee and mustache to his face before he went out to get all the things he needed for his plan.
Not too much later he was ready and waiting for Yuna to come by, part of him hoping she hadn't knocked at his door while he was out, but she didn't strike him as the type of person that would visit people while it was hardly dawning yet.

Opting to wear her more traditional outfit, as she thought Yann might like to see that, Yuna (staff in tow, of course), cheerfully made her way to his address, taking her time as she'd left a bit earlier than she'd intended. Though she stood out in her regular clothes, no one seemed to be really bothered by them, and one girl even asked about the pattern on her skirt.
Humming, she finally arrived at Yann's place and knocked on the door.

Yann had been pacing up and down his tiny room impatiently and at the knocking his heart jumped up in his chest. In his hurry to get downstairs to open the door, he almost tripped and stumbling down the last steps he janked open the door.
"Yuna!" he said breathlessly. "Come in, please, come in!"

Both eyebrows went up at the sight of the facial hair, though she didn't comment on it (being too polite to wonder aloud how it appeared over night).
"Hello! I hope I'm not too early," she said as she walked in.

"No, no, you're right on time! I hope you're hungry..." He gestured towards the stairs. "Come on up... I have something for you."

"Oh, yes, thank you...and you shouldn't have! I don't have anything to give you."

"You company is more than I could ask for already." He followed her upstairs and showed her into his room, where he loaded the little table with all kinds of sweet bakery items. "I promised dessert... these jelly cakes work as breakfast as well, and the pain chocolates are good at any time of day." He beamed at her.

She clapped her hands a little at the sight of the food.
"Oh, wonderful! Hmm, hmm, what should I try first?"
She hovered by the table for a moment, before finally reaching out and picking up one of the pastries that was topped with chocolate.

The simple fact that his surprise was well met relieved him so that his knees buckled and he sank down on a chair. The knot in his stomach slowly resolved and he reached for a pastry with some strawberries preserves.
"Bon appetit," he said happily before sinking his teeth in the crunchy dough and the red goo.

She sat down, too, and once done with the chocolate tried one of the jelly pastires.
"These are really good."

"This is what I wanted you to have for dessert. But it works for breakfast too, don't you think?" he said happily.

"Absolutely! And I know of some breakfasts that could double as desert."

"I would like to try those sometime. Usually I have a bowl of porridge and I would not enjoy that after a meal." He chuckled lightly.

She laughed.
"Oh, yes. You should try chocolate-y pancakes. It's like a dessert."

"That does indeed sound very tasty. I will keep it in mind." The thought made him even hungrier and he took a second pastry.
