*After Death had left the room, Susan began to make herself a cup of tea. She turned to Tsuzuki*
"Would you like some?"

"Yes, thank you. Um. Are you...?" Tsuzuki hesitated, uncertain how to ask. Was this woman Death's friend? Daughter? House keeper?

"Susan Sto-Helit. He's...well, he's not actually my grandfather, but an alternate universe version is. I think it has something to do with quantum."

"Oh." Tsuzuki subsided, looking slightly confused. "Quantum, hm? I can't say that I've ever really understood that. I'll just- I'll just take your word for that." He eyed Susuan, and one could almost see the thoughts running through his head- not much of a family resemblence.

"You're seeing me in a good light. I can be quite the monster when I forget myself."
*She gave a chilly smile*
"What about you?"

"What about me?" Tsuzuki repeated. He glanced after the doorway where Death had disappeared, then gave a shrug and a little smile. "I guess...well, I didn't even know there was a personification of Death until I came to Paris. It's surprising, you know, having been in this job for 70 years and then finding out there are different aspects of absolutely everything."

"And just what job is that?"

"Oh- well- it's sort of complicated. The department I work for is there for if things go wrong, I guess- deaths not happening on schedule, you know, or souls getting hung up somewhere, suspicious killings, that kind of thing. And there's always paperwork." For a moment, Tsuzuki looked terribly, terribly tragic. "I hate paperwork. I usually make my partner do it." A hefty sigh, and then, "What about you? Do you help your grandfather out much?"

"Well- it's also a bit complicated with me."
*She ran a hand through her hair, which was trying to style itself into dreadlocks*
"I...I fill in when strange things happen. I try not to unless it's really necessary, though, because the more I do, the harder it gets to stay human."

Tsuzuki blinked at her, a little taken aback. She'd said it so casually...
"Harder...to stay human?" he asked. "R-right. I know what you mean. Um. Your hair...?"

*She nodded*
"Among other things. The more you walk through walls, the more you forget to use doors."

Tsuzuki laughed. "Well, maybe I can't say I know what you mean. Can you fly?"
