((It's only omnipotence when you have a collective. Once that's gone, well then she's just a cyborg.))

((Omnipotence is getting mighty cheap around here.)) It kind of always was. Everything is cheap around here, that's the danger of playing with sue characters. Everyone is so pumped up in one way or another that it gets boring.

((That's why I've been trying really hard lately to balance out what my characters can and can't do, and why I've pulled back on making anybody TOO powerful. Plus I have this way of feeling that the more powerful my characters are, the more mental blocks they have over using what they have. The only really unchecked character I have in regular play now is Veidt, and even so, he's just ridiculously smart and in exceptionally good physical condition. I'm sure we have some non-Speshul characters around here. Then again, the Speshul-ness of this place is getting lampshaded so often that it's effectively taken away a lot of it, I think. And I mean that as a good thing.))

Very few of my characters have any real powers. Destler can do whatever he wants, basically. Marlow is powerful but not magical in any way...Mortimer can only change himself. I think that's about it. Everyone else is fairly "normal"

Dr. M can't do much with his abilities anyway, other than apply the superscience as he's already forseen it, and Sephiroth pushes himself to the point of breaking. Isaac and Testament are close seconds, but their magic skillz are dependent on a lot. Isaac has to maintain his practice or lose his ability, while Testament is disconnected from what one could call his "source." Everyone else is just a freak. XD And I remind myself of this: "...then, when everyone's special... no one will be."))

((Okay I'd like to say something on the matter.
1. I am a borg fiend, they are my favorite bad guy's EVER forever.
2. There are enough huge monsters and shit going on around here that it might just be a while before the borg are even recognized as a threat. No offense, though I'd LOVE to get some plot going with the borg, hell I'll even throw up one of my sue's to get assimilated. I don't know yet, but I totally will.
3. Omnipotence on the verse is like oxygen, everyone has it and it doesn't really matter how many more we have made. Think about your self insets and then tell me you don't have an omnipotent character. (No I don't care if your sueself, isn't really all that omnipotent, but you get my drift.)
4. I have an assload of characters like this, because this is the verse, and because it's allowed. Think about it princesses we have how many deaths? How many gods? I believe we shouldn't have anything to say about any one else's characters. Because that's not any of our places.
So in conclusion and I am fangirling and confused. Thank you.))

((Yes, exactly. And I actually think we've gotten to the point where non-special characters really are the special ones, because they're in the minority. PARADOX!))
