Full Name: Lieutenant Commander Helen Shephard
Service Number: 5923-AC-2826, N7
Fandom: POTO, original, other (specify)? Mass Effect
Age: 29
Height: 5'9"
Weight: 139 lbs.
Build: Strong
Hair: Red
Eyes: Blue
Distinguishing characteristics: Large scar down left cheek
Nationality: Human (in general)
Job: Alliance Navy Officer, commander of the SSV Normandy, Spectre (special forces operative)
Personality: Collected, ultra-dedicated, always focused on what's right and just, Shepard is practically the living embodiment of what the Alliance hopes to appear as. She takes responsibility for the lives of everyone around her, and does her best to make sure that she brings everyone home safely. It is entirely possible that this is to make up for the traumatic incident in her past, in which she felt helpless.
Life Story (as much as you want us to know): Shepard was raised on Mindoir on the fringes of the Attican Traverse. When she was sixteen, the colony was raided by slavers. The entire settlement was razed and her friends and family were slaughtered. A passing Alliance patrol rescued her, but all she loved was destroyed.
Soon after, she enlisted with the Alliance military and were posted at Elysium. She was there during the Skyllian Blitz, an attack on the colony by a massive coalition force of slavers, crime syndicates, and Batarian warlords.
She rallied the civilian inhabitants, leading them in their desperate fight to hold off the invaders. When enemy troops broke through the colony's defenses, she single-handedly held them off and sealed the breach.
After hours of brutal fighting, reinforcements finally arrived and the enemy broke ranks and fled. Because of her actions, Elysium was saved, and she is regarded throughout the Alliance as a true hero.
Sometime thereafter, Shepard one-upped this by becoming the first human Spectre, saving the entire Galaxy from the Reapers, and ensuring that humans got a seat on the Citadel Council. What she's doing in past Earth (as she is from the year 2183) remains unknown at present.
