Full Name: He has no name. But he'll let you call him Sanjuro ("thiry-year-old")
Fandom: POTO, original, other (specify)? Yojimbo (1961) and Sanjuro (1962) by Akira Kurosawa
Age: Going on 40
Height: 5' 9"
Build: Strong and solid
Hair: Topknot
Eyes: Piercing
Nationality: Japanese
Job: Ronin (samurai without a master)
Personality: "Sanjuro" has no name, and no home. None that he'll tell you, anyway. He goes where he likes, though like as not his choice is entirely random. He seeks out work, but his motives for doing so are unclear; so long as he gets a floor and some rice, he seems content enough. He is extremely gruff, to the point of rudeness and greatly straining Bushidō. He will make a lot of noise about not suffering fools and the idiocy of the softer virtues, but he will also attach himself to causes which seem lost for no discernible gain to himself. He is unselfconscious in the extreme, often yawning, scratching, and lounging, though despite his constant stubble he is generally clean. It would be simplistic to say he was "a badass with a heart of gold," but he does fall within that category.
Off-setting his rudeness and haphazard manner of living is his extreme skill. He is an expert, if unconventional, swordsman, moving like an animal when aroused. He has great physical strength and skill but he is no brute, and is capable of complex planning and very cunning, though he would most likely deny it. His typical method is to play upon the psychology of the parties involved, though outwardly he barely seems aware of such subtleties. He kills when he has to, without compunction, but he regrets the deaths of his most skilled opponents.
Life Story (as much as you want us to know): He does not want you to know anything. I cannot stress enough how great these movies are.
